"When is an embryo a human?

Most scientists maintain that an embryo is not yet a life until the nervous system is developed."

I'm not going to discuss whether the above is true or not. it's not the matter.

The matter is now : how I read it.

Regardless of whatever statement that I may put up there. The point is how do we read the things we read.

Kalau dulu, selalu kalau baca ayat kat atas bilamana ada jawapannya di bawah, ia melegakan hati sebab dah jumpa jawapan. "Oh, ok. so jawapannya ialah, sampai nervous system tu develop baru considered as a human. ok dapat dah jwpn. ok boleh tidur dgn senang hati.". and I guess that is not critical enough.

Kita lupa untuk lihat, ia pendapat "most scientists" je. boleh jadi benar atau tak. bukan nak kata scientists ni salah. boleh je jadi betul sbb diorang dah buat extensive research, dan boleh jugak jadi tak sebab mungkin ada benda lagi diorang tak jumpa.

Sometimes, when you read something factual, at the same time your heart and mind are also analysing whether to accept it or not. You will accept it as a discovery of others, and you respect that. But when someone ask you, do you really believe in that statement wholeheartedly? 

So, in my perspective, reading things critically is very important. not to critic or to negatively condemn them. but to read them with further research and more readings that follow.

You think you already know, when someone gave you that answer, something like the above. But as you look further, there is so much you still don't know. 

Musim-musim exam ni, bila go through notes, banyak fakta-fakta di'bentangkan' kat kita. But kita takut kita hanya menjadi PENGHAFAL terhadap fakta-fakta ni.

Papehal pun, tak salah nak indulge dgn science ni, tapi tiap hari iman ni jadi pertaruhan. Bila kita buat experiment kat lab, jadi sikit, dok sebut waah. dalam hati takut ada riya' semata-mata sebab pucuk hasil tissue culture tu tumbuh! -__-. bila tgk ada orang dpt buat artificial life (Craig Venter and gang), kita pun sebut wah sebab Pakcik ni dapat buat benda tu. kita lupa nak include "wah" kita tu dgn Allah. tergelincir sikit je kan? hu. 

bila baca. rasa macam faham. "ok, semua ni macam make sense". tapi hati kita bagaimana pula? dan itu antara kita dan Allah sahaja.

tp the overall point is KITA macam mana bila baca fakta tu. Scientists tu betul atau tak, tu lain isu.

Allah, guide us to the straight path.

p/s: post ni tiada kaitan lgsg dengan isu nak condemn scientist atau ilmuwan barat. dan tiada kaitan dgn statement ilmu-barat-semua-penipu-tak-leh-pakai. period. further discussion needed. ;)
